Porto and northern Portugal
Porto wedding planner

Fuse Weddings is a luxury wedding planner based in the Porto region of Portugal. We plan around 30 weddings a season in Porto, Minho and the Douro Valley, with one team for planning, design, stationery and music. Full planning starts at €6,000 + VAT.
What a Porto wedding planner does
A wedding planner takes care of everything between the "yes" and the last song. At Fuse, that means:
- Venue search: we shortlist the quintas, palaces and hotels that fit you, from more than 180 we know across Portugal, and join you on up to four visits.
- Budget and suppliers: we choose, negotiate and manage catering, photography, film, florals and every other supplier.
- Art direction: the visual identity of the day, florals, tables, rental and lighting are designed by our own team.
- Stationery and couple website: invitations, menus, seating plan and signage in one design.
- Music and entertainment: our own DJs, with in-house sound and lighting.
- Coordination on the day: we arrive before everyone and leave after everyone. Your only job is to live it.
Where we have planned weddings in northern Portugal
We work across the country, but the north is home. In 2026 we planned weddings at venues such as Serralves in Porto, Aqueduto Eventos, the Mosteiro de Landim in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Quinta das Carpas, Quinta de Alasca, Pedras Salgadas and weddings at home, such as Alice and António's in Celorico de Basto. For 2027 we have weddings booked at Vidago Palace, Casa de Quintar and Casa dos Viscondes da Várzea near Lamego.

Knowing the venues well matters: which rooms have the best light at sunset, which quintas need a generator, where there are sound limits and what time the party has to end. Read about Cátia and Marcos's wedding at Aqueduto Eventos, with around 250 guests.

Why one team
Most couples end up managing ten or twelve suppliers who have never met. At Fuse, planning, design, stationery and music are done by the same team. You speak with one person, everything is written down, and every meeting is recorded and summarised with the decisions and next steps.

How we work
- 12 to 18 months before: venue search, with visits.
- 9 to 12 months before: on the same day, one meeting for the visual identity and one for the music.
- 4 to 6 months before: suppliers confirmed, with a 45-minute meeting every month.
- The last two months: timeline, seating plan, menu and production plan, all approved in writing.
- Wedding week: a final 60-minute meeting to walk through the day minute by minute.
Thinking about the Douro Valley?
A little over an hour from Porto, the Douro Valley is one of the settings our couples ask for most. Everything you need to know is in our Douro Valley wedding guide.
