Cátia & Marcos: a candlelight wedding at Aqueduto Eventos

Cátia and Marcos wanted a day that felt like them: elegant, warm and full of people they love. Around 250 guests, one long summer day in July at Aqueduto Eventos, a venue we love working in, and a party nobody wanted to leave.

The ceremony
The ceremony happened in a garden framed by hydrangeas and greenery, with words written by the people closest to them. Simple, personal and full of emotion.

On the way out, guests waited with parasols and petals. It was one of those moments that nobody plans to remember and nobody forgets.

The dinner
Dinner was designed in a candlelight format. The room was dressed in soft white draping, deep burgundy linen and hundreds of candles, with a grand piano at the centre, surrounded by candlelight, playing as the guests took their seats.
The draping itself became part of the show. We used it as a screen for video projection, so the walls of the room changed with each moment of the night: soft and warm during dinner, cinematic for the entrances, alive once the party began.

The party
Then came the surprise of the night. Cátia took the microphone and sang At Last to Marcos, live, in front of everyone. It was the moment the whole room still talks about.
And it did not stop there. When Banda Valada played the hits, with Prince's Kiss leading the way, it was Marcos's turn to surprise everyone and take the microphone himself.
The first dance opened the floor, and from there it never closed. After Banda Valada, DJ Tiago Az and Hélio, the Fuse DJ, took the night from the champagne tower to the last song, with the couple behind the booth more than once.

What we did
Planning and coordination, art direction and the candlelight design, video projection on the draping, and the music and entertainment of the whole night, with our own DJ, sound and light.
